Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026 · See also our Cookie policy and Terms of Use.
The short version
- Divina has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and sets no cookies.
- What you do in Divina stays on your device. Anything personal is kept there encrypted. We never receive it.
- When you use the AI or a natural voice, your request goes straight from your device to the company you picked, with your own API key.
- The only personal data we hold is your email address, if you join the waitlist.
- We never sell or share your personal information, and never use it for advertising.
Who we are
Divina is made by Sweeney Creative, the data controller for this website and the waitlist. Contact us about anything in this policy at dev@divinaos.site.
This website and the waitlist
- What: your email address and, if you pick one, what you’d use Divina for.
- Why: to email you when Divina launches and about early access. Nothing else.
- Lawful basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box and joining. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Who handles it: our website host, Netlify, Inc., stores form entries for us under a data processing agreement. It may store them in the United States, with the safeguards UK and EU law require for transfers (standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum).
- How long: until Divina launches and up to 12 months after, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
- Server logs: Netlify keeps standard logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time to keep the site secure. That’s our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
The website sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and loads nothing from other companies. See the Cookie policy.
Using Divina: the browser version, the iPhone app and the Windows app
All three work the same way. There is no Divina server behind them, so we never receive what you do in them.
- On your device: your settings and API keys, notes, agents, memory, routines, worlds, timers and any calendar file you add. Keys and personal items are encrypted, with a key that stays locked inside your device (your browser, your iPhone, or your Windows account). You can see the list, and delete all of it, in Settings → Privacy & cookies.
- The AI you pick (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude or OpenAI) receives your questions, a short summary of your cards, what you asked Divina to remember, and an agent’s instructions if you’re talking to one, sent directly with your own key. If you ask “what’s on my screen?” (not on iPhone), Divina asks first, then sends one smaller picture of your screen for that one question. The live translator sends only the lines you speak. That company handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, as your provider. OpenAI requests are sent with storage turned off.
- The natural voice you pick (Google Gemini, OpenAI or ElevenLabs) receives the text of Divina’s replies, to turn into speech. The voices are AI-generated, not a real person.
- Speech recognition: when the microphone is on, your browser’s speech service (Google’s for Chrome, Microsoft’s for Edge) or, on iPhone, Apple’s, turns what you say into text. Apple does this on the phone where it can.
- Weather: MET Norway receives your location rounded to about 1 km if you allow it, or OpenStreetMap receives the city name you type.
- News: Hacker News via Algolia receives your news topic.
- Crypto: CoinGecko receives your coin list, with your own CoinGecko key, if you use that card.
- Email (Windows app only): if you connect it, Divina reads senders, subjects, dates and read status over an encrypted connection straight to your email provider, with an app password you create. It never changes anything. Only the number of unread emails and the latest sender’s name go into the AI summary.
- Camera: hand tracking runs on your device. Video is never saved or uploaded.
- Backups are sealed with a passphrase you choose and saved where you put them. We can’t open them.
- Sharing a card makes a picture on your device. Nothing is sent unless you share or save it.
- iPhone app: Apple shares with us only what it shares with every developer, such as sales figures, and crash reports if you’ve agreed to share them. Purchases are handled by Apple.
Those companies are independent of us. Divina connects to them because you asked it to, and they handle what they receive under their own terms. Many of them are in the United States.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it or send you a copy, and you can withdraw consent or object at any time. Email us and we’ll reply within one month. For what’s on your device, you’re in control: Settings → Privacy & cookies → Delete everything removes it all at once, and Backup gives you a copy. We make no automated decisions about you.
If you’re in the UK or EU and unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
If you’re in the United States
- We do not sell or share personal information, or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We honour Global Privacy Control signals all the same.
- Do Not Track: Divina doesn’t track you across sites or over time, so it works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
- You can ask to know, correct or delete your information, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.
Children
Divina and this website are for adults (18+), and not directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we’ll delete it.
Artificial intelligence
Divina is an AI assistant: its replies are generated by the AI company you pick and can be wrong, and its natural voices are AI-generated. Divina says so when you first use it.
Security
Keys and personal items are encrypted on your device (AES-256-GCM). Keys only ever go to their own company. The Windows app only answers its own window on your own computer. No system is perfectly secure: keep your device locked, and revoke a key with its company if you think it has been exposed.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top, and tell people on the waitlist by email about anything important.
